Last night we had a gallery preview for Martin’s artwork
(http://www.invisiblerecords.com/gallery.html). Lots of people showed up,
some new Martin, some were friends of r3 students, and others had just
seen it through Facebook or Evenbrite (see, when done properly, social
networking can work!)

Not only did I enjoy seeing Martin’s art displayed in a thoughtful manner
(as opposed to lying around the office or sitting in the corner), but I
meet a lot of new people. There were two people from the Chicago Music
Project, doing interviews and taking video of the school and its students.
I got to talking with them later that in the evening, and actually was
notified as a possibly web-designer position at the CMP. It might have
only been a week since school started, but I have already made more
connections through r3 than I did in college!
